Helping Hands Foundation (HHF) is a pioneering non-governmental organization (NGO) committed to transforming lives by supporting senior citizens and underprivileged youth. Founded in 2017, HHF stands as a testament to the belief that “Helping Hands are Better than Praying Lips” — a philosophy that drives every initiative we undertake. With compassion at its core, HHF works relentlessly to build a society where care, dignity, and empowerment are accessible to all.

OUR JOURNEY
Helping Hands Foundation (HHF) was officially registered in January 2018, marking the beginning of a transformative journey towards social empowerment. Over the years, HHF has achieved several remarkable milestones, reflecting its commitment to excellence and community welfare.
Through strategic efforts, HHF has successfully obtained prestigious certifications and registrations including:
- 12A & 80G Certification under the Income Tax Act (providing tax exemptions to donors)
- CSR-1 Registration enabling partnerships with Corporate Social Responsibility Projects
- Recognition under NITI Aayog & NGO Darpan (Government of India)
- Listed on e-Anudaan for Government Grant Eligibility
- ISO 9001:2015 Certification for Quality Management Systems
HHF works in close collaboration with M/s Headstart Management, Urban Nanny Care and several Skill Development Centers across Jharkhand. These partnerships have strengthened our mission, allowing us to deliver impactful services to both senior citizens and underprivileged youth.
We prioritize career counseling, skill orientation, and employment assistance, ensuring that every candidate is equipped with the tools to secure a sustainable livelihood. Many of our trained candidates are currently employed in leading organizations such as Genlabs Healthcare, Portea, UrbanNanny, Sethu Foundation, Care Zindagi, and various hospitals.
HHF has evolved as one of the most reliable and trusted NGO in Jharkhand, with it's strategic focus on elder/geriatric care and youth employment assistance, especially for women from SC/ST/OBC backgrounds.
OUR FOCUS AREAS:
1) Senior Citizens Empowerment
We believe in honoring the wisdom and contributions of our elders by offering dedicated support services such as:
- Free Medical Check-ups & Health Camps to ensure timely diagnosis and treatment
- Free Eyes Check-up Camps for the senior citizens
- Wellness & Recreational Programs and Picnics, promoting mental and physical well-being
- Nutritional Support Packages for better health and immunity
- Counseling Sessions for emotional and psychological support
- Daily Essentials & Medicine Distribution for those in need
- Working with various Shelter Homes in Jamshedpur
2) Youth Empowerment
Helping Hands Foundation through its Livelihood Programs connects the unemployed or underemployed youth from disadvantaged groups and communities (especially our SC/ST/OBC/EWS female candidates) with the sectors with high potential or demand in terms of revenue generation as well as employability. The youth could be up-skilled and mainstreamed to become a part of our Jharkhand State’s Growth Story. HHF empowers young minds through:
- Skill Development Programs in Vocational Trades, and Entrepreneurship
- Career Counseling & Soft Skills Training to boost confidence and employability
- Job Placement Assistance through corporate tie-ups
